As the courses within the Excel specialization went on, they grew more and more troublesome. In this Advanced course, the amount of content was lacking. To wit, there were weeks without Challenges. In week 6, there were even lessons without quizzes. It just seemed like the creators lost their zeal for the course, and they ran out of gas.
Moreover, the Excel Specialization became more and more unfriendly to Mac users with each successive course in the Specialization. In the earlier courses, keystroke shortcuts were given for both Windows and Mac. In later courses, that wasn't done. There are also skills shown in videos that Excel for Mac doesn't have. It's one thing to make a note that the skill being shown is located somewhere else for Mac users, but when the function does not even exist, it's just not friendly.
The Essentials and Intermediate 1 courses were both excellent in regard to the material provided. Intermediate 2 was where things started downhill, and the Advanced course was really painful to surmount due to a lack of materials and content that was universally applicable. The only way I was able to succeed on these latter two classes was by using the Discussion Forums. Thankfully, other Mac users were experiencing the same problems, and there were some workarounds and suggestions.
