This course was really interesting! I loved it. The teacher was amazing and very engaging. And it was my first time doing peer-graded assignments, i was scared but i did it and i'm so proud of myself.

The course uses recent research in positive psychology to talk about "miswanting", illusions about success and happiness. It provides realistic ways to work on one's well being. Practicing new forms of behaviour like gratitude and savoring resulted in feeling more positive about life. It certainly changed my priorities in life.

It has been the best course that has literally been life-changing for me. I have turned myself completely around. I found the love of my life and improved my mental well-being. I have been grateful for all the little things and my attitude has made me happier. Happiness is all how we perceive it, and this course has shown me that.

This course definitely changed my perspective on happiness and what living well means to me. I took a lot of what we learned and applied it to my real daily living, which is essentially the point. The lectures were engaging, informative, and I enjoyed the visual aspects she added. I would take a class of hers again in a heartbeat!

This course was well worth the time, especially during the pandemic. It allowed me to refocus on the correct behaviors that will improve my happiness and how to let go of other behaviors and thoughts that may take away from it. The course had the perfect mix of lecture, reading and practice time to achieve a positive end result.

I think that the lecturer and presentation style of online courses can really make or break them and Laurie was fantastic. Engaging, authentic and knowledgable!
The course content is fascinating and I think that everyone, not just those with an interest in the subject matter could benefit from trying a little rewirement challenge.

Absolutely loved the course. This would be useful for everyone! I was listening to The Happiness Lab podcast while doing this course which really make me remember the theories and points behind human behaviour and how we can raise our awareness and rewire our thinking and habits towards happier and healthier life. Laurie you rock!

I learn't a lot about how i think and what my brain is telling me. There are good ideas and strategies contained within this course - lots of practical tips as well. I found it quite thought provoking and plan to re-visit the ideas going forward. I would definitely recommend if you want to start thinking differently about life.

This was a great course and it allow for me to rewire and remind myself what true happiness is really about and it's more about what we do and not what we have. the instructor was great and the scientific experiences used was excellent. I truly enjoyed this part of the journey and look forward to taken another one of her courses.

Better than I had hoped for. Loved the learning along the way, took copious notes and most importantly, the rewirement activities remain in place and the joy of completing these daily tasks are worth savouring. I love this course and my instructor. She is warm, adorable, smart, and has an amazing soft voice that I'd love to listen to. Rich in course content and Dr. Laurie makes the content so inviting and engaging even though they're heavily backed by scientific evidence. I would recommend this to anyone who would want to take the steps for a better over-all well-being! Commit to learning and to the rewirements and it would be an over-all enriching experience!

A very well-done course that is a great blend of theory and practice in order to increase your own personal well-being. Gives you a good challenge and brings you out of comfort zone in an amazing way to see how the things we traditionally want might not be what we should really want and interesting techniques to better ourselves.

This course was really quite helpful to me during the pandemic. I was reminded to check-in and focus my energy on beneficial behaviors for my well-being rather than allowing my mind to wander into dark places and ruminating. I have tools that I have been practicing to keep up the work and know the reasons behind their importance.

I completed this course last year and I am still using the lessons that were taught. It has made me more productive as I can clarify what it is that needs to be done in order to feel like I'm moving forward. This was one of the most helpful classes I have taken as an older adult who is seeking to improve her mindfulness practice and mental well-being. Dr. Santos made all the difference in my having lots of enthusiasm for this 10-week commitment. I don't think I could have stuck with it had she not been so encouraging to us students.

I have savored every single minute of the course. Happiness - something we all, kids or grown-ups, strive for and so little know about (or we think we know but are so far from really grasping the essence of). The structure of this course was amazing in that it facilitated learning and habit formation through a blend of theory and practice. The five guiding questions were perfectly scaffolded and I love that the course included pre- and post-assessments that enabled me to truly see how what I was learning/ practicing affected my life!

I gained so much insight from doing this course. Professor Laurie Santos does a great job breaking down the syllabus and presenting it in such a way that it is interesting and easily understood. Many years ago when I did Psychology, the research was not there to support these findings. I am happy that I came across this course.

Through this course i learnt a variety of interesting concepts on wellbeing that researchers and psychologist have spent years uncovering but were presented in such an easy and succinct manner. Laurie is an amazing lecturer and her ability to have us reflect on concepts and make them practical was truly what i enjoyed the most.
