The Instructions were really good. As an experienced excel user, they explained the most useful info in a fast and informative way. The Graded quizzes were bad though. Asked questions for things that got explained in the next part or asked in a way that wasn't clear what was meant precisely. It was more a pain than actual knowledge control And even the final Assignment. You had to write yes, got the pasting warning the whole time and then couldn't even submit it twice because the answer was not long enough.. Additionally the peer review solution showed a screenshot that couldn't exist, because the prompt afterwards changed it. In Addition to giving info that changed later as well (deleting rows + deleting duplicates later)

Super basic. You could probably learn more by watching a couple of videos on YouTube. All the videos in this course are using Excel Desktop, but then for the labs it wants you to use Excel Online since that is free and everyone can use it. It would be better if they just used the desktop version for everything and say that you can use the online version if you want. It notes there are slight differences between the online version and the desktop version, but there are already differences between the online version they used in screenshots versus the online version that is used now since it is constantly updated.

The course itself was ok, though indeed very basic. However the final assignment was quite frustrating. Some instructions related to Excel on the web were inaccurate (probably outdated). Moreover, the assignment required to use Remove Duplicates, where the table have not got any unique row identifier. Due to that it was impossible to remove duplicates that way and people should not be graded for this point.

The course is helpful, particularly if you have never really used pivot tables. The course would benefit from visual examples (screenshots) in the hands on labs descriptions. Additionally, some of the methodology for removing duplicates should be revised. Teaching users to remove duplicates on a single variable or non-identifier variable can lead to erroneous deletion of data.

The big knock of the cert program is the absence of real peer discussion and the hollow semblance of providing something like that at the very beginning. When a learner encounters natural difficulties, we have only our individual means to figure them out. That indicates to me a very plausible reason why an entry-level cert program only has a 30% new career rate.
