This is an excellent course that I would recommend to everyone in Canada. I learnde a lot about the history or colonization and gained a good understanding of Indigenous issues in contemporary Canada.

I majored in Native Studies during my BA 20 years ago, but I still learned a lot from this course. The units on art, gender roles, and Indigenous people in urban centers were especially interesting.

I enjoyed this class. It deepened my knowledge of several historical issues. The presenters were all excellent. One point - the quizzes sometimes do not match the learning objectives for the unit.

a great course; I really appreciate the varied use of media and the pacing throughout. Only suggestions are some proofing of the captioning in videos and and updating and revising content for 2025.

Overall I am very happy that I have chosen to do this course. Almost everything was new to me. I would have liked to see a bit more interactivity within (or after) the individual week's materials.

Lots of great material, I would personally prefer a more detailed focus on a few topics and have this course broken into multiple so you can really have a chance to dive in deeper to each topic.

I enjoyed this course. I've recently moved to Canada and I would encourage anyone who is in my position to take this course, to gain that baseline knowledge of the indigenous Canadian community.

Great course! Only complaint is that for some of the assessment questions the answers are a little ambiguous and difficult to chose between. Great and very relevant information, would recommend!

This was an excellent and informative course. At times it was a little broad but I appreciated all the interviews they did with subject-matter experts -- really felt cohesive and I learnt a lot.

This course has contributed to my understanding of the current issues Indigenous peoples face, particularly the importance of examining colonial perspectives that marginalize Indigenous people.

This course is truly a history lesson. One that i was not taught in school. It is very intense with a lot of new information, which meant i had to take notes to pass the tests. But worth it.

Muy completo, variado y con enfoque indÃgena indispensable para abordar temas relacionados a los pueblos indÃgenas. La traducción al español por momentos complicaba la comprensión del curso.

The content of this course was thorough, informative and thought provoking. The transcript was not always accurate making the notes a little confusing. The online format is very convenient.

I learned a great deal taking this course and I would recommend it to others. My one complaint is that I wish there had been more attention paid to the Eastern Indigenous Bands and Nations.
