I believe that John Ewald did a great job at covering the basics for absolute beginners. I will recommend others to check out the course too before diving deep into more specific topics.

Pros: - Instructor in video was energetic. Cons: - Instructor mumbled some key words and spoke too fast. - Instructor never took beats on key components. - Editing switched to extreme 3/4 profile view and then kept shots where the instructor turned their head from camera. For those that need to see lips to understand words (like myself) this makes it challenging to follow along. - Reading material is a single PDF with around 30 links to other published content. Apparently the 30 minutes quoted for expected time is only based on the material you decide to read, rendering the whole reading portion optional.

This was unfortunately too shallow for my liking, and it seemed to be a mere reading of some prepared text. The slides were not particularly illustrative of any concept. For example, instead of explaining PETM at a grade 8 level, the slide and the instructor merely recited a terse definition/description of PETM. Another example: the difference between prompt design and prompt engineering was not explained satisfactorily.

Deductions of money I didn't approve of, went on. I wasn't aware that the moderators of the course siphoned money from my bank account without my knowledge, every month. On top of that they have a no refund policy. If this isn't illegal, I don't know what is. I expect my money to be paid back to me because I was completely unaware of any of the deductions. I'm very disappointed and dissatisfied with this course.

This is just a bunch of vague buzzwords. There's no real explanation of "transformer" for example, just "the encode encodes and the learner learns". The Romans used to say Nomen est omen, but that's not true. Putting a name on something is not understanding that something. I'm surprised I have to write this down.

The course is asking me to purchase a certificate for $49 when I pay for a Coursera Plus Subscription - $49 monthly whereby this course is included. This is false advertising as it pertains to the benefits of the overall learning program.

This course is a 15min video that lists some of the terminologies in LLM. The presenter rushes through those terminologies and the constant camera angle change is distracting. Would not recommend this to others

Felt like torture sitting through this short course listening to a moron reading off a prompt and keeping on wiggling like a bubble-head. Thank God it was only one module!

It felt too shallow and like the instructor was just reading from a prompter than explaining some of the information in a little mode detail

Just a high level overview. The information you gather from this course can easily be gathered by chatgpt within 15-30 minutes.
