In this 1-hour project-based course, you you will learn how to build a data dashboard using Power BI Desktop software. You will start by exploring various ways to import data into Power BI and familiarize yourself with the Power BI interface. You will observe the data, identify parts that need cleaning, and learn how to transform raw data to fit business needs (e.g., replacing values, fixing data formats, deselecting unnecessary fields, adding relationships, etc.). I was able to take pre-populated excel data and create a Power BI report from scratch with this walk-through guide for beginners. I had never done it before and now feel I could confidently recreate a report as needed based on custom requirements. I think this course is ideal for those who have never used Power BI and need a working knowledge of it quickly.
