This course is the first of a series that aims to prepare you for a role as an entry-level IT Support Specialist. In this course, you’ll be introduced to the world of Information Technology, or IT. You’ll learn about the different facets of Information Technology, like computer hardware, the Internet, computer software, troubleshooting, and customer service. This course covers a wide variety of topics in IT that are designed to give you an overview of what’s to come in this certificate program. This course is a great way to find out if IT is a new path you want to take. There are many fields in IT and this course gives you a basic run down of them and gives you the the tools and knowledge from experts that have years of experience. Highly recommend it!

This course is very informative, hands-on, and best of all, includes a quiz here and there along the way. The glossary is especially helpful as well. You either know and understand all the words on the glossary or you don't. If you don't, go back and review!

The information learned in this course is basic fundamentals but also these fundamentals actually covers the basics of most Helpdesk requirements so I would say that for an entry level understanding of IT this is what every IT Helpdesk Technician should run to.

This course is pretty straightforward, yet is also really informative. The supplemental reading is a great way to learn to teach yourself. The instructors simplify things in a way that makes the information easier to comprehend, and make you want to learn more.
